About us

Serving rural Chikkaballapur since 2016

Pura Foundation works in the villages around Jadalathimmanahalli, in Chikkaballapur district — where access to healthcare, education and essential services is thin. We began as community volunteers in 2016 and were formally registered as a public charitable trust in 2025.

What we do

Three areas, driven by what the communities around us actually ask for.

Health

Bringing essential healthcare and wellness support closer to rural communities — free health camps, eye screening and spectacles, yoga and wellness sessions, and dialysis assistance for BPL patients facing severe financial barriers.

Education

Helping government-school children learn with dignity: books, pens and materials, school uniforms, and footwear that removes a basic physical barrier to daily attendance.

Empowerment

Supporting women and vulnerable groups toward independence — skill development including tailoring machines, loan support through 'Sthree Sakthi' groups, health and hygiene awareness, and mobility aids for persons with disabilities.

Our principles

  • Funds stay dedicated. Contributions to an equipment fund remain intact for that purpose until the equipment is acquired.
  • Every sponsor gets a report. Camp sponsors receive photos and a summary of the camp their gift funded.
  • Give in someone’s name. A birthday, an anniversary, or a memory can become a day of care for an entire village.

Partnership: ViTachyon Robotics

An Indian-built tele-robotic ultrasound let doctors at AIIMS New Delhi scan a patient in Antarctica, more than 12,000 km away — a world first. Pura Foundation is the only foundation to have stepped forward, and is the sole sponsor of Experiment 2 for the next 18 months. Help us take it the rest of the way. Read about the partnership

“In my father’s name.”

A son who lost his father to a heart attack now contributes every year to provide free heart check-ups for an entire rural village — turning his loss into protection for others, in his father’s memory.
