Accountability

Where your money goes

Trust is the only currency a small foundation has. This page sets out how contributions are held, what they pay for, and what we are not yet able to show.

How we handle money

Restricted funds stay restricted

A contribution to the Dialysis Fund is spent only on dialysis — the machine, free cycles and medication. It is not lent to another programme or used for administration. Mother & Child contributions are pooled and spent only on care for pregnant women and their newborns. India–Antarctica Ultrasound Mission contributions are spent only on Experiment 2 of that research. The running totals on this site are generated from the donation ledger itself, not typed in by hand.

Camp sponsorships are costed, not estimated

₹5,000 and ₹10,000 are what a basic camp and a camp with heart screening actually cost to run — medical staff, consumables, transport, and coordination with the community. A sponsor at those amounts funds one camp and gets the report from it; smaller contributions are pooled towards the next camp.

The gateway fee is the only deduction

Razorpay charges a per-transaction fee, typically around 2% plus GST, deducted before settlement. Nothing else is taken from a donation before it reaches its programme.

What we cannot yet show you

The trust has worked in these communities since 2016, but it was only formally registered in May 2025 — so there is not yet an audited annual report to publish. It will be posted here when it exists. Our 12A and 80G registrations are provisional, which is the normal starting position for a newly registered trust, and we say so rather than describing them as settled.

Straight answers

Who runs the foundation?

The trustees, working with medical professionals engaged for each camp. Contact details for the trustees are available on request.

How are camp locations chosen?

By distance from the nearest functioning primary health centre, and on requests from village-level workers and panchayat members who tell us where screening has never reached.

What happens to a fund if the programme ends?

Every donor to that fund is contacted before anything is reallocated.
