Giving

What is the minimum donation?

₹100, on every programme. For Gift a Health Camp, ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 are the real costs of running a full camp; smaller contributions are pooled towards the next camp.

How do I donate to Pura Foundation online?

Choose a programme on the donate page, pick an amount, enter your name, email and mobile number, and pay by UPI, card, net banking or wallet. The whole process takes about a minute and you receive a receipt by email as soon as the payment succeeds.

What payment methods can I use?

UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and any other UPI app), debit and credit cards, net banking from all major Indian banks, and wallets. Payments are processed by Razorpay; Pura Foundation never sees or stores your card or UPI credentials.

Can I donate in someone’s name or memory?

Yes. The donation form has a dedication step where you can mark a gift for a birthday, an anniversary, a milestone, or in memory or honour of someone. The dedication is printed on your receipt and, for health camps, recorded against the camp your gift funds.

Can I set up a recurring monthly donation?

Not yet through the website. If you would like to give monthly, call us on +91 96202 80030 and we will set up a standing instruction with you directly.

Can I donate from outside India?

Not at present. Indian law requires a separate FCRA registration to accept foreign contributions, and Pura Foundation does not hold one yet. Donations from Indian bank accounts, cards and UPI — including from NRIs using an NRO account — are welcome.

Tax and receipts

Is my donation to Pura Foundation tax deductible?

Yes. Pura Foundation holds provisional approval under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (URN AAGTP2285AF20251, granted 14 July 2025), valid from AY 2026-27 to AY 2028-29. Provisional approval carries the same deduction for you as final approval; the difference is that the trust must apply for final approval before the window closes. Donations are eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to the limits prescribed therein. Pura Foundation holds provisional approval valid from AY 2026-27 to AY 2028-29.

How much tax can I actually save under 80G?

For most approved charitable trusts, 50% of the donated amount is deductible from your taxable income, and the total 80G deduction you may claim in a year is capped at 10% of your adjusted gross total income. A ₹10,000 donation therefore typically reduces taxable income by ₹5,000. Note that the deduction is only available under the old tax regime — it cannot be claimed under the new regime. Your own tax adviser is the right person to confirm your position.

When do I get my receipt?

Immediately. The receipt is emailed the moment the payment is confirmed, and it is also available at a private link you can open or print any time. Receipts are numbered sequentially by Indian financial year.

Do I need to give my PAN?

It is optional to donate, but required on the receipt if you intend to claim a deduction. Under the current rules the trust reports donations to the Income Tax Department against the donor’s PAN, and the pre-filled deduction in your return comes from that report.

What is Form 10BE and will I get one?

Form 10BE is the donation certificate an approved trust must issue for the previous financial year, by 31 May. If you gave with your PAN recorded, you will receive it by email at that time. It is the document the Income Tax Department matches your claim against.

Is a cash donation eligible for 80G?

Cash donations above ₹2,000 are not eligible for deduction. Giving online — as you do here — leaves a clean, verifiable trail and avoids the question entirely.

I lost my receipt. Can I get it again?

Yes, and you do not need us for it. Go to “Your donations”, enter the email address you gave, and we send you a sign-in link — every gift you have made is listed there with its receipt to view or download. If that address no longer reaches you, write to people@purafoundation.life with the donor name and approximate date and we will sort it out.

Where the money goes

How much of my donation reaches the programme?

Contributions to the Dialysis Fund are spent only on dialysis — the machine, free dialysis cycles and medication — and are not moved to other programmes. Health camp sponsorships pay for the camp: medical staff, consumables, transport and community coordination. Mother & Child contributions pay for pregnancy scans and safe hospital deliveries, including care for the newborn. Contributions to the India–Antarctica Ultrasound Mission are spent only on Experiment 2, the tele-robotic ultrasound research Pura Foundation sponsors with ViTachyon Robotics. The only deduction on any gift is the payment gateway’s fee, typically under 2%.

What happens if a fund does not reach its goal?

It stays where it is. Money given to the Dialysis Fund is spent only on dialysis, and is never moved to another programme. If a programme were ever discontinued, we would contact every donor to that fund before reallocating a rupee.

Will I hear what my donation did?

Health camp sponsors receive photographs and a summary of the camp their gift funded. Fund donors are updated as the totals move and when equipment is commissioned.

Can I visit a health camp or see the work?

Yes, and we encourage it — particularly for corporate and institutional donors. Call +91 96202 80030 and we will tell you when the next camp is scheduled and where.

Problems with a payment

Money left my account but I did not get a receipt. What now?

Wait a few minutes and refresh the status page — bank confirmations occasionally lag. If nothing arrives within a day, write to people@purafoundation.life with the reference number shown on the status page, or call +91 96202 80030. Every payment attempt is recorded on our side, so nothing is lost.

I was charged twice.

Contact us with both reference numbers and we will refund the duplicate to the original payment method. See the refund policy for how long that takes.

Can I get a donation refunded?

Donations are not ordinarily refundable, because the money is committed to a programme as soon as it is received. Genuine errors — a duplicate payment, a wrong amount, an unauthorised transaction — are refunded. Ask within 7 days.
