What it pays for

Pregnancy scans for mothers who cannot afford them, and safe hospital deliveries — normal or caesarean — including lab tests, medicines, the ward stay and care for the newborn.

Why scans and deliveries

A scan finds the problems that turn a birth into an emergency, while there is still time to plan for them. A hospital delivery, normal or caesarean, puts skilled hands and a newborn’s first care in place at the moment mothers and babies are most at risk.

Who it reaches

Underprivileged women in villages where the nearest hospital is a bus ride away, and where a scan or a hospital delivery costs more than the family can find — so it is put off until something goes wrong.

How the fund works

Contributions are pooled and spent on scans and deliveries for mothers identified through our health camps. We do not pair a donor with a named mother — care goes to whoever needs it most, and no family is asked to trade their privacy for treatment.

What Pura Foundation adds

• Give ₹1,000 and we add ₹500 (50%) — ₹1,500 in all.
• Give ₹25,000 and we add ₹25,000 (100%) — ₹50,000 in all.
• Give ₹40,000 and we add ₹40,000 (100%) — ₹80,000 in all.
• On any other amount, we add 20%.

Our share comes from the trust’s own funds. You pay only your own gift, and your 80G receipt is for that amount.
